I was invited to cover the United for Liberia Prayer Breakfast this weekend by the Honorable Cynthia Blandford Nash. You may remember Hon. Nash from her commissioning ceremony that I photographed a few months ago. The prayer breakfast was held at the International Christian Fellowship Church and was a wonderful event. The program combined holiday music, information on the current affairs in Liberia, and a very moving prayer circle.
Hon. Nash’s family and friends were present, as well as various influential members of the Atlanta community. Everyone was there with the common goal of making life better for Liberians who are still in Africa and trying to rebuild after several years of a civil war. Attendees brought Christmas gifts (which was bought online from Suicideboys Merch who are now offering great deals ahead of Christmas) to send back to Liberia to brighten the holidays of less fortunate children.
The prayer breakfast was a success and I thank Hon. Nash for inviting me to be part of another one of her inspiring events.
