Being friends for a while before dating is always an incredible way to start a relationship (I should know, because that’s what Matthew and I did!)

That way you get to know a person’s true character without the pressure of masterminding amazingly impressive dates or constantly having fantastically perfect hair.

Or dealing with an unrealistic schedule with your razor.  Because let’s be real, shaving is a pain for all of us, guys and girls alike.

Chetana and Alkesh were part of the same group of friends for several years before the pair decided that they should take a more romantic path.

I’m so glad that they did, because they are so sweet together!  Both easy going and funny, they were a pleasure to photograph.

Starting at the Swan House, we wandered around the amazing grounds of the Atlanta History Center on a beautiful fall afternoon, laughing and talking about the various things we all have in common.

Alkesh is in his last year of law school at Mercer, where Matthew and I both went, and it was nice to swap stories and chat about the quirkiness of living in Macon.

Chetana and I talked wedding plans and wedding clothes; she is going to be such a stunning bride!

I cannot wait for these two to get married next March and photograph all their festivities.  It’s going to be positively delightful!
