St. Regis Atlanta Wedding - Elyse and Sean by The Studio B Photography

Elyse and Sean have the distinction of being the only couple whose weddings I’ve photographed back to back. And yes, they married each other both times!

Last summer I got to spend the weekend with these sweethearts as they were married in an intimate ceremony overlooking the Ocean Course at Kiawah Island.

Their original wedding was supposed to take place at The St. Regis in Atlanta, but after a few date changes, they wanted to go ahead and tie the knot with just immediate family present.

After their beautiful beach wedding, I was thrilled when Elyse’s family invited me back this summer as they executed the spectacular event that they had originally planned on.

Elyse and her bridesmaids started the day at her parents’ home, which is part of the residences at the St. Regis, and filled with incredible amounts of natural light.

After all of the bridal preparation was done, it was time for the first look! Following the first look, we moved on to do portraits of Elyse and Sean in The Garden Room.

The Garden Room is one of my absolute favorite places to go in Atlanta!

The last time I’d been there was for my birthday in 2020, two days before the world shut down for Covid, so getting to do photos in there was a dream come true!

The unstoppable duo of Helene Popowski and Steve Bales created a ceremony setup that was unlike anything I have ever seen before!

The chuppah was at the front of the room and on either side of the aisle were guest tables instead of the traditional rows of seats.

When guests arrived at their seats, they were treated to a delicious sorbet that was waiting for them at their place.

After the ceremony, guests enjoyed a cocktail hour filled with delicious food and drinks while the amazing team of vendors flipped the room for the reception.

It was magical to witness the work it took to bring the vision to life and then to photograph the breathtaking final result.

Elyse and Sean, you two are simply the best! Thank you for having me there beside you as you said I do times two! Congratulations!!
