I discovered Smith-Gilbert Gardens when I met Martha, who is having her wedding there next May. Formerly privately owned, the house and gardens also incorporate a variety of different kinds of artwork on the grounds, making for a truly unique venue. Some of the highlights include a huge rose garden, a peaceful koi pond, and an extensive collection of bonsai trees.
The entire property is filled with gorgeous treasures to discover and from a photographer’s point of view is a SPECTACULAR place to have your wedding. Because new flowers are constantly blooming and each season brings new colors, the gardens never look exactly the same two days in a row. How cool is that?
Smith-Gilbert is located in Kennesaw, GA and is also available for tours daily, and because it’s a non-profit organization, rental fees for weddings are tax-deductible! Bonus!
Update: Martha is married and you can check out the blog post from her wedding here. The wedding was such a hit that it was even featured on Style Me Pretty, one of the most well known wedding blogs. You can see that post here.
These look great! They actually do the place justice! 🙂
