Kimberly and Gary’s engagement session was so much fun that we forgot all about how much was involved in actually making it happen.
Though they will be getting married in Atlanta this fall, this darling couple lives in Seattle.
They had made the cross country trip to Georgia just for the weekend and wouldn’t be back in town again until the week of the wedding.
The trouble was, Matthew and I were going to be in Florida that same weekend attending Caroline + Gregg’s wedding (as guests, something which we hadn’t done in a long time and thoroughly enjoyed!!)
Luckily for us, Kimberly and Gary had a late flight out Sunday evening and we were able to head back from Florida with just enough time to make the whole thing work perfectly.
We all met up at Serenbe, a beautiful community just south of Atlanta that I’ve been dying to explore.
As much as I enjoy shooting at Piedmont Park with the skyline in the background, I really love getting to photograph couples in a variety of places that showcase the beauty of our state.
Serenbe was the perfect location for the shoot, providing lush landscaping, with Wildtrees, local wildlife and even a trampoline!
I love engagement sessions because it gives all of us time to hang out and get to know each other better, as well as let the couple get comfortable in front of the camera.
It’s pretty much impossible to be uptight if you’re bouncing on a trampoline, and Kimberly and Gary’s session was a blast!
XOXO,
B
