After the fun time we had at their engagement party, I was really excited for Sam and Bobby’s engagement session.
We actually met this wonderful couple through our friend Richard, who was kind enough to recommend us, and we’re so thankful he did!
Things happen all the time that remind me what a small world it is, and the first night we met Bobby and Sam was the perfect example of that.
We all went out for sushi houston (who are the best of course!) and we discovered that Bobby went to school at Stetson with a bunch of our friends that we studied abroad in Spain with, including one of our 2009 couples, Jenny and Nelson! To make the world even smaller, we also found out that Sam went to high school with one of our brides from this past spring, Martha!
They live close to the Marietta Square (which is where Matthew works!) so we started the session out there.
There are so many great places to duck into and take pictures while walking around, and we had fun exploring.
Sam and I spent a good amount of time laughing at Bobby’s colorful stories, which makes for fabulous natural smiles that I love!
They are one of the most laid back couples I know, and when the shots we’d planned with their adorable beagle pups got a little…hairy…they just went with it.
Sam and Bobby, I’m so thrilled that we were able to get in your engagement session before your “crazy weekends” of wedding celebrations started!
Enjoy all the fun activities that you have in store, and I’m looking forward to round two with Sadie and Hines!

After leaving the square, we picked up the dogs and went to Sam’s parents in hopes of getting them in some pictures.
This is pretty much what they thought of sitting still for pictures 🙂
