The night before Ethan’s first day of kindergarten his dad heard some noise coming from his room in the middle of the night.
Curious, he went into his son’s room to see what was going on.
Ethan was fully dressed in his school clothes, sitting up in his bed and said “I’m all ready to go dad!”
His dad convinced him to put his pajamas on again and go back to sleep, and then the excited little guy was able to go get some rest before his big day.
After I heard the adorable story of what occurred, I knew I had to be there when Ethan got home from his first day of kindergarten.
Together with his parents and little brother Zachary (who had missed him all day long!!) I waited to catch a glimpse of the big bus that was bringing Ethan home.
Finally we saw his sweet grin shining from the first row window of the bus and he bounced down the stairs to greet his family who were eagerly awaiting his stories from the first day.
Both Ethan and Zachary are fabulous in front of the camera and had no problem hanging out in the antique school desk I brought with me for their photos.
They even put on their superhero masks for me for a little while, which I thought was super cool.
I’m so glad that I was able to be there for such a sweet and special day and hope that Ethan’s first year of elementary school (and whole school career!) is wonderful!
XOXO,
B
I think this is one of my favorite kid pictures I’ve EVER taken.
Z was so unbelievably excited to have his big brother back home after being away all day.
These are too cute! I love the super hero outfits…
