Colleen and Chris are a fabulous couple. They are dog lovers, huge Florida State fans and the most laid back people you’ll ever meet.
How laid back you ask?
The day of the wedding Colleen’s wedding dress didn’t get to her until about an hour after the time we had scheduled the first look and she was totally fine with it.
In between hair and makeup, she and her bridesmaids watched funny videos on YouTube, often erupting into fits of giggles.
I called Matthew to let him know that we’d be a little late and he told me that there was no rush, Chris was having a beer and they were watching football together.
Luckily, we always build extra time into our shooting schedule, so when the dress arrived we were able to go ahead with the first look with no problems.
The rest of the wedding ran perfectly on schedule and the beachfront ceremony was short and sweet.
Having gotten most of the pictures done before the ceremony, Colleen and Chris were able to enjoy most of the cocktail hour.
They bounced around among groups of friends and exchanged warm hugs on the cool Florida evening.
The reception featured a delicious mac and cheese bar and a mashed potato bar, both of which were requests of the bride, who is obviously my kind of girl!
Chris and Colleen, thank you so much for having us there with you. It was a fabulous wedding and the perfect way to close out 2010.
I know that you are enjoying yourselves at the Excellence right now and wish that we were there on our honeymoon again!!
XOXO,
B
