I don’t deal with change very well.

Especially when it comes to my planner.

When I was still in college at Florida State, they made the most perfect academic planners that they’d give out for free at the beginning of each year.

I used those planners for all four years I was there, and even went back my during my first year of law school and picked one up when I was in town visiting friends.

I remember the lady at the FSU card center (where they gave out the planners) looking at my student ID and then saying in an accusatory tone:

You got this card FIVE years ago.

My response was quick and simple:

Yes, and I’m still here…don’t you agree it’s high time for me to get organized so I can graduate?

She made a face, gave me the planner and I left the building feeling a little silly but mostly victorious.

After that debacle, I decided that I’d better find another planner source, and have been using these ever since.

I was very happy with the planners I was using, but after seeing several posts on Facebook and Twitter about Emily Ley’s beautiful Simplified Planner, I had to give it a shot.

I’m happy to report that it did not disappoint!

Although I have a to-do list on my phone and my iPad, I remember things better when I write them down.

This planner is perfect for me!
