Ever since we went there on our honeymoon, Matthew and I have been talking about going back to Excellence Playa Mujeres.
Sandwiched between the end of a busy spring/summer wedding season and the start of a crazy fall wedding season, we decided that mid-August would be the perfect time to get away.
We’ve done a lot of traveling since we’ve been married, shooting weddings in a variety of countries and states, but this time we got to travel solely for relaxation purposes.
It was bliss.
It’s easy to get used to a daily routine of getting room service for breakfast, laying out by the water reading a book, and taking an afternoon nap on the beach.
The resort is all inclusive, which makes vacation even more relaxing because you don’t have to worry about paying for a thing once you’re there.
As a small business owner, there is always something to do, and it was such a relief to have nothing on my to-do list for six whole days.
Matthew and I both returned from vacation refreshed and ready to take on the rest of 2012!
If you’re looking for a place to go on your honeymoon, or just a place to relax, I cannot recommend this resort enough.
Do it! Go there! It’s awesome!
The property is gorgeous, the staff is incredibly attentive, and the food is delicious.
I wrote a long review last time we went there, and am planning to write another one for this trip.
If you’d like to read it, you can do so here.
I’m already dreaming about our next visit there…
XOXO,
B
These first few photos were taken by the resort photographers.
Although we did bring one “real” camera with us, it pretty much stayed in the room the entire time.
While we were there we decided to head over to Dolphin Discovery Isla Mujeres and we had a wonderful time!
These photos were taken by the photographer there, and I love them!
The view from our room, which was situated on the lazy river.
While we were there we happened to catch a wedding going on. Of course I had to take a picture!
It rained for about 20 minutes the whole time we were there, and that’s when I caught up on work stuff.
Doesn’t this look heavenly??
My favorite place to fall asleep in the late afternoon. I’d be reading my book and just nod off…
I read four books while we were on vacation! I don’t think I read four books all of last year!
There is a show every night, and the fire show was one of my favorites.
Sad to be going home 🙁
