I love a good, old-fashioned weather miracle! I’ve been doing this for a long time (over a decade, it’s hard to believe!) so I’m no stranger to a rainy wedding day.
The day before Elena and Mikey’s wedding, I went to Target and bought a cute umbrella for them to pose under since it was supposed to rain the entire day.
When the wedding day arrived, the afternoon forecast still looked sketchy. However, as the day went on, the sunny skies stayed and we ended up having gorgeous light throughout their celebration!
I’m so grateful that my former bride, Amira, sent Elena my way! It’s such a huge compliment to be trusted with another wedding from the same circle of friends and always fun to catch up with clients at another wedding!
Dunwoody Nature Center is one of my favorite places for portraits and it was an amazing venue for an outdoor wedding!
I had the pleasure of working with Sydney Kohn for the first time (who is based in Adelaide) and she did a fantastic job making sure that the day ran smoothly.
Elena and Mikey’s first look was one of the sweetest moments of the day! My heart melted as Elena narrated her approach: “I’m running to you Mikey, I’m coming, I’m almost to you!!”
Their reaction upon seeing each other was the best! I never get tired of that amazing and emotional moment!
The rest of the day was filled with so much joy and fun- it truly was a pleasure to photograph.
Elena and Mikey, thank you so much for having me! Mazel Tov!
XOXO,
B
