This past Monday, I had the privilege of being present when Cynthia Blandford Nash became the Honorary Consul General of the Republic of Liberia for the State of Georgia. She was commissioned by His Excellency M. Nathaniel Barnes, Liberia’s ambassador to the United States.
Hon. Nash’s connection to Liberia began in 1974 when she became the first Rotary International exchange student in Liberia. She lived in the country until 1975 and attended the University of Liberia while serving as a teacher in Yekepa, Nimba County.
The evening featured many distinguished speakers such as His Excellency Reda Mansour, the Ambassador Consul General of the State of Israel, and Alexander Cummings, the Executive Vice President of the Coca Cola Company.
Thank you Cynthia for having me be part of your very special evening!

People wore the most gorgeous colorful outfits. I loved it. Can’t you just HEAR them laughing?
