Matthew and I met up with Colleen, Chris and their adorable dog Derby this weekend for what proved to be an interesting engagement session. This was the first time I had an engagement session include a fur baby and it was so much fun! I made sure to bring along treats to encourage Derby to look my way and he was very well behaved.
We went to Sope Creek Park in Marietta which has lovely scenery and the Chattahoochee River running through it. We discovered along the way that it also has fallen trees to scale and snakes!
Colleen and Chris were such amazing sports as we climbed over the trees that were blocking our path to the water and went out on the river rocks with me even after we’d been warned by others that there had been a snake spotted in the water. Luckily for us, the sinister reptile stayed away while we took some pictures and Derby took a quick swim.
Derby had actually been introduced to water the weekend before when he went to lake with Colleen and Chris, but he jumped right into the river like he’d been swimming his whole life. It was so cute to see him enjoying himself, even if it did mean that he got a bit muddy!
Meet Colleen, Chris and of course, Derby!
Beautiful location for a session. And I love the shots with their dog! Too cute!
