A while ago I had the opportunity to second shoot with my friend Bobbi Jo of Bobbi Jo Brooks Photography at gorgeous Frogtown Cellars up in Dahlonega. I absolutely love it up in North Georgia (you may remember I was just up there a few weeks ago for Kalie and Billy’s engagement session) and I have been DYING to do a vineyard wedding for as long as I can remember.
I was thrilled when Bobbi Jo asked me to second shoot for her and Cecelia and Chris’ wedding was such a pleasure to be a part of!
Before the ceremony I was in charge of taking pictures with Chris and his groomsmen around downtown Dahlonega and we had such a great time! Matthew is usually in charge of groomsmen portraits and all other things related to being manly, so it was definitely a different experience for me. We ended up befriending adoptable dogs and having some ice cream courtesy of a kind stranger who wanted to treat Chris to ice cream on his wedding day.
After groomsmen portraits were over it was time for the ceremony mass, which was held at held at the perfectly quaint St. Luke’s.
Although it rained for most of the drive over to the reception location, once we arrived at Frogtown Cellars the weather miraculously cleared up. The evening began with a delicious dinner and was highlighted by moving toasts from the couple’s family and friends and incredible salsa music.
