The great thing about love is that it finds you when you least expect it.
Certainly Elizabeth didn’t expect that when she took a job in Savannah she’d end up falling in love with a dashing Scottish man with a charming accent.
Yet that’s precisely what happened.
Finally, after months of flying across the ocean to see each other and hours of Skype time, these two are right where they belong.
Together.
This week I met up with them and their precious pup Samantha at Piedmont Park for their engagement session and we were blessed with fantastic weather.
Elizabeth had warned me before the shoot that Samantha might not be as well behaved as she hoped, but I reassured her that after life with our dog Maccabee, I can handle pretty much anything 🙂
Samantha was wonderful, and more than happy to pose with her parents (while accepting treats for good behavior of course!)
As a dog person, it always delights me when clients bring their dog along to their engagement session!
It gives them the chance to have pictures with the whole family, and having a wiggly friend that licks faces always produces genuine smiles, which thrills me!
If you’re considering bringing your pet to your engagement shoot, let this serve as an example that you should definitely do it!
Elizabeth + Jerry, I had a fabulous time with you and Samantha! Can’t wait for your wedding (and the kilts!) come November 🙂
XOXO,
B
