It’s been two months and four days.
Flavia’s mother told me this as she picked up the photograph of her late husband and made sure the frame was free of dust.
Barely two months before the wedding Flavia’s father lost his battle with cancer.
Despite the raw grief that shone in everyone’s eyes as Flavia’s mother proudly walked her down the aisle, the day was filled with so much joy.
It was truly an honor to photograph this amazing couple as they committed their lives to each other.
During the ceremony their officiant did a beautiful job weaving together details of what Flavia and Bill loved about each other along with scripture and words honoring her father.
Guests laughed and cried, and it was the most perfectly personal service I’d ever seen.
Family came from as far away as Brazil to celebrate and everyone had a wonderful time together.
At one point in the evening the dance floor was so full that people started dancing in the spaces between the tables.
Everyone bid the couple farewell with a sparkler sendoff as they left the Alpharetta Athletic Club as husband and wife.
Flavia and Bill, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for having us there.
The strength of your spirit and your love are such an inspiration.
Congratulations on being married!!
XOXO,
